Power security is the world's common problem related to social stability and economic development issues. It has been always been highly concerned by governments and Power enterprises all around the world. With the fast growth in electricity demand in our country,China's Power system has become the world's largest and highest voltage level AC-DC hybrid Power grid. As the lifeblood of the national economy, once the Power system was facing with various catastrophes (including stability disruption, natural disaster and human destroy), it would surely bring great harm to the national economy and people's lives, as well as national security. To raise the power system stability, assess and supervise the whole power system and its potential risks with in its structure and equipment as well as establishing the Power security risk assessment and emergency disposal system to cope with catastrophe is of great theoritical and practical importance.Summarizes the development of emergency management theory, summarizes emergency management mechanism in our country, based on the status of the power of its own characteristics in China power grid emergency management system and the problems existing in the paper analyzes.According to the characteristics of large power grid, follow the general theory and application of emergency theory and methodology of the thoughts on power systems in China actually established grid emergency management capability evaluation index system.This paper also for the current application more power system emergency capability evaluation methods are analyzed and improve the research. Introduces analytic hierarchy process for multi-index interval comprehensive quantitative analysis.
