A Study On The Spatial Expansion Of The Tourist Town

In the period, while tourist towns are under construction in full swing across the country, with urban space is undergoing dramatic changes, so top-down urban planning is playing a more important role in spatial expansion of the town than ever. Therefore, we should summarize the law of urban expanding in order to guide tourist towns develop healthily.This paper mainly adopts four ways. There are the combination of theory and empirical research, the overall combined with case studies, dynamic combined with static study, and the needs analysis. First, by a large amount of literature research and extensive field investigation on the basis of tourist towns, the paper defines the concepts and type of tourist towns, and Summary the overview development of tourist towns, and finds the main problems during the development. Secondly, focusing on these towns XiaoYudong,Ping Le,Luo Dai,You Ai in Cheng Du, and Bo Ao in Hai Nan during a large number of cases, the research explains the course of the expanding of every town space in different periods. Thirdly, questionnaires are surveyed to research the gap between the needs and the status quo. Fourth, the paper searches for the aspects of influencing tourist towns spaces and summarize the law of the expanding of the tourist towns'space. The last of paper proposes spatial development strategy for the future space development.Through the analyses of expanding of the valley city space, we can elicit the conclusions. first, Tourist Towns space expansion is an organic continuous process. In the process, spatial form is always adapted to function. Second, Part of the town first developed in space, but the spatial expansion of town is aimed to maintain the overall effectiveness. Third, human activities and needs play important roles in the spatial expansion.In future, tourist town developments would adopt the following strategies. The small towns and regional urban system should be combined; spatial expansion must comply with the laws of nature. Construct flexible space structures. It is proposed to improve space utilization; it is important to create regional characteristics of urban space; Different strategies are used for different types of towns.
