Locomotive brake relay valve is a critical system component, which is applied directly to the air brake control signal amplifier output to the implementing agencies. Relay valve reliability and quality performance will directly affect the stability of the locomotive brake system reliability, and rail transport security threat. To ensure safe operation of locomotives, locomotive relay valve is required for the role of functional and mechanical characteristics of accurate and comprehensive measurement, thus, need to develop a comprehensive testing system, the relay valve test rig. Its role is to verify all the properties of relay valve to ensure product quality and reliable. This set of locomotive brake system or traffic operational safety is of great significance.Locomotive brake relay valves as a key component of the precision pneumatic pressure to enlarge the output to complete and reliable braking, ease, packing effect, which requires the air valve on the relay characteristics and its mechanical properties of comprehensive tests. In addition, the test stand the test efficiency, test precision has a very high demand, the sensor signal acquisition and data processing also need to do the appropriate calculations, the test stand pressure, flow from the sensor circuit of electronic control systems and control, through flow sensor and pressure sensor feedback to the high response frequency of data acquisition boards, to test the output relay valve pressure and flow.This paper based on structural characteristics of the relay valve and the basic working principle of the study, to determine test items and related test procedures and in accordance with the principle develop test equipment test system structure, familiar with the system working process, the completion of overall design test bed. Based on the test platform testing requirements, on the test system hardware design and selection, so that each part of the match with the test system to meet the test requirements.Subsequently, according to the testing tasks require the use of Visual Basic prepared in accordance with the relevant test system software program, include the two test functions and data storage module, the dynamic of data collection, processing and output, file management and conservation, parameter adjustment, sensors calibration, personnel management, print output and other functions, standardization and automation of test. Design a friendly man-machine interface, the tester can be skilled after simple training to complete testing relay valve.
