The bridge bearing which links upper and lower structure plays an important part in the bridge structures. It can help to deliver reaction and distortion (movement and turn angle) from the upper structures to lower reliably. Its mechanical properties and the reliability have important influence to bridge structure's normal loading and the security. However, because of the difficulties in experiment, it is hard to study great tonnage bearing's performance systematically. In the project people can only confirm the middle or the small tonnage bearing's intensity and rigidity. In order to study each kind of bearing's structure and its performance well, it is meaningful to establish a kind of method for simulating the bearing's situation appropriately with the mature software techniques. This thesis mainly aimed at the pot-rubber bearing and the aseismatic bearing which have been used in railroad bridge more often and the following several problems had been solved mainly.1. The method of contact analysis which has been performed with the finite element analysis software ANSYS is used to simulate the pot-rubber bearing effectively and the result of this method had been used to compare with the experiment data. Moreover, some main design variable has been studied, such as Rubber thickness, trough bottom thickness and trough link thickness which influence performance of the bearing. Proposed a reasonable selection scope to meet the primary structure size's of bearing, which provided the reference for the bearing's optimization design.2. The stress situation of the concrete platform had been studied when the pot-rubber bearing be put on it. And the relations between the bearing and the concrete platform had been studied systematically. With this study a method which is used to increase the safety of the bearing's structure had been proposed.3. The process of the non-linear finite element analysis for the pot-rubber bearing has been sealed with vb software and the parametrization technology of ansys apdl. With this a parametrization analysis system for structure analysis of the pot-rubber bearing has been developed. This system is convenient and direct-viewing. It reduced the operating time massively by eliminating the analysis malpractice which needs get the model Repeatedly.4. The inter force of the the bridge structure that one has bearing and the other without bearing has been contrasted when the earthquake happens. From which the specific role of the bearing that in bridge system has been displayed intuitively.On the one hand the research contents and results of this thesis have great practical values for the pot-rubber bearing's design and its series production, and on the other hand, it provides a valid reference for other bearing's study.
