The performance of infrared guided missile directly affects the hit rate, and the performance of the missile is controlled by the infrared seeker at the front end. The performance of the infrared seeker directly determines the guidance performance of the missile. Therefore, it is necessary to test the infrared missile seeker performance before it is placed on the missile. Because infrared seeker can be easily influenced by the weather, environment and other factors, it makes field debugging extremely difficult, therefore, the development of infrared target simulator is particularly important.Based on a research project about infrared target simulator, this thesis is focused on the study of the control part of the target simulator. The infrared target simulator control system mainly consists of PC, TMS320F2812 minimum system, FPGA control unit, stepping motor drive unit and the feedback unit. According to actual needs, through a combination of TMS32OF2812 and EP1C6Q240C8, it controls SM2045 two-phase hybrid stepping motor rotation; by controlling the pore size of variable aperture, it simulates the target's energy difference at different speeds and distances; established the mathematical model of the control system through the research and analysis of the whole control system and simulated it via SIMULINK software. Meanwhile, it adjusted the motor's speed signal feedback by the optical electrical encoder by the use of incremental type PID control algorithm, which realized the precise control of the step-motor's speed and accomplished the simulation of the infrared target's energy.
