With the development of the modern theory of infrared technology and theimproving of processing technology, infrared simulation technology which simulates allkinds of attitude of the missile flight at high altitudes has become a growing trend. Theinfrared target simulator system finishing the test of the missile tracking, identification,missile performance and capable of striking targets made infrared target simulationsystem save the vast amount of money and test flight condition of missile in differentcircumstances. In the project, the infrared target simulator system research flightattitude and trace capture of missile aiming at a certain phase of flight of missile. Thebasic scheme of infrared target simulator system could be demonstrated by researchingthat contained the design of infrared target, mechanical two-dimensional translationagency and electrical control system design, system reliability and error analysis.Target design primarily determines that infrared radiant heating plate is cast copperobject whose shape is isosceles triangle, and main source of this system’s radiationenergy come from nickel chromium alloy resistance wire. With proper wiring in the castcopper object, temperature homogeneity of infrared radiation source can be improved.According to the principle of distance simulation, simulating the distance can beachieved through changing the target’s opening sizes. The back and side of cast copperheating use insulation, not only reducing heat loss but also isolating heating whichheating plate produces that can make extra effect to target’s work components. Theabove measures can improve the entire system’ reliability and work stability.Mechanical two-dimensional translation agencies mainly provide target’s shiftedposition, simulate objective’s different measure angle. On the basis of movingmovement accuracy and positioning accuracy, choose proper product model thatcontains linear motion unit, auxiliary guide, location of raster ruler and driving motors.In the project, the range of target’ motion that mechanical structure offers is too largewhat can cause tremor, shake, structural distortion and so on which can takedisadvantage to system accuracy. Through static analysis and finite element modalanalysis, we can find maximum stress point and maximum deformation position ofmechanical structure to optimize the design of mechanical structure.Simulator system’s technical reliability and security and error should be analysed.System’s reliability concludes failure rate of optical imaging system, failure rate ofmechanical structure system and failure rate of electronic control system. The errorsources affecting measuring accuracy of the system come from angle error and targetopen error. By calculating reliability and accuracy, we can achieve failure rate of system and error rang allowed. These measures lay the good foundation for aligning andinstalling of the infrared target simulator system.
