Watercourse Regulating Project Base-rock Detecting System (WRPBDS) is a joint development project which uses a diverse mix of technologies containing non-contacting probing system and electromechanical integration technology, is developed by River Affairs Department of Yellow River and Center for Building Materials and Construction Machinery of Shandong University. The system is efficient, fast, secure and accurate. And it fulfills the detecting acquire of Yellow River.With the constant development of science and technology, people put forward a new demand on engineering machineries. Not only do people like newer functions and quality, also need more perfect in shape and humanist in Ergonomics. From the above, "User-centered Design" concept is having been put on the agenda gradually. Base on this concept, the research on the WRPBDS is very much exact and minute in the paper.The main correlation methodology in the essay contain Ergonomics, Design Philosophy, Human-scale, Human-computer Assessment and so on. The principal four subsystems of the paper include Design and Research of Automobile Feature, Kinematics Simulation of WRPBDS'Control Processes, Design and Research of Control Device, and Ergonomics Detection and Research on Operating Space.The paper research is so innovative, with carrying out the important thought of "User-centered Design", taking Ergonomics as paramount, Combining the thought of Industrial Design, that achieves the best solution of product design. The new thought and method will give directions to the successor research of WRPBDS.From the Ergonomics, especially the vehicle ergonomics perspective, the primary WRPBDS has many deficiencies. This research result will ensure the operators a high-efficiency, comfortable and Secured workspace, make corporation and social concern the factor of "User" in process of product development, push forward the subsequent processing of system quickly. The WRPBDS will serve to other field after the further experiment and exploit. There are some new vehicle design theory acquired in the essay, which provide some experience for the R&D of like engineering machinery products.
