The making-breaking capacity test isvery important to check the electrical performance of Low-voltage electrical apparatus.This paper presents the trend of the development of Low-voltage electrical apparatus and its test, based on the national standard of making-breaking capacity test and the principle of the test, the program of 200kA making-breaking capacity test control and measurement system is designed. The measurement system of this program is based on the technology of Rogowski coil, and the control system of this program consists of industry computer and PLC.Highlights of the dissertation can be concluded that:the computation models, optimum methods and selection criterions of dimension and electromagnetic para-meters of the coil are analyzed respectively including their influence characteristics, and the measurement method of the distributed capacitance of the Rogowski coil are presented;optimum criterions of the parameter of the terminal resistance of the coil is proposed. It provided an effective analyse and experiment means for the research and manufacture of Rogowski coil current transformer.The control and measurement system have been developed with WinCC and STL,LAD language. User can control making-breaking capacity test reliably with this control and measurement system.The shut switch, the detached switch and the protected switch in test can be selected in a test line. The test parameters such as test time and test cycle can be inputted flexibly. The action of switch in the test can be observed in real time, and this system can send out the alarm signal and start the protective action in the abnormal situation.
