Study On The Non-motorized Traffic System Of Xi'an In The Conception Of Low Carbon

Since the reform and opening, our country's society and economy developed rapidly, the urbanized process speeds up unceasingly, the urban function is also getting more and more perfect, and resident's journey structure has also had the change-- non-motorized modes to motorized modes. With the development of motor traffic, a series of questions are also following, especially the vehicle brings environment question, it has become a big difficult problem which affects the urban development. Meanwhile, because of the big threat to the original journey modes, residents had to abandon it, which is cheap and convenient, turn to motorized modes, and increased the journey cost.Since the 21st century, the environment is worsens day by day, it make people take more attention to protecting the environment. In recent years, the concept of low carbon appears unceasingly in ours research, we should pay attention to how to use the low-carbon principle in the urban development, to reduce the low-carbon emissions, and to alleviate each kind of environment the pressure. In establishment of low-carbon city, the transportation modes' change is a key point. Non-motorized Traffic, a kind of green environmental protection trip mode, because of its non-carbon characteristic, it would be the key project in the construction of low carbon city.The paper discussed in four parts. First, it brought in the concept of Low-carbon and Non-motorized Traffic, introduced and contrasted the construction of two concepts in the domestic and foreign, and summed up experience and lessons. Based on these, the paper detailed principle, methods and support system of the planning of non-motorized traffic in the idea of low-carbon. Next, by discuss of present situation of non-motorized traffic in Xi'an, the paper analyzed necessity and feasibility of construction. In the end, based on the situation of Xi'an, the paper discussed the detail of construction of non-motorized traffic in Xi'an, and looked into the future of non-motorized traffic.The paper chose the region the Ringing Roadâ…¡in Xi'an, and investigated the non-motorized traffic many times. According to the research of investigation, the paper provided concrete improvement measure and suggestion to non-motorized traffic, in order to make the non-motorized traffic system much more perfect.
