The horizontal stabilizer actuator is one of the key components of an aircraft, whose fatigue failure directly affects the security in aviation, so it has important practical significance to carry out the research about improving structural fatigue life and reliability. With the basic research of establishment of rational and feasible finite element analysis model of the actuator, this paper made finite element analysis, fatigue life analysis and structural reliability analysis of the actuator.The static tensile test program and the tensile test pieces were designed in this paper, and the static tensile test of the new materials used in aircraft structures were completed, and the mechanical properties from the test were obtained. Then finite element analysis of the actuator were done, the result of the finite element analysis identified the key risk of its sub-components, the anti-reversal box. In order to know some material fatigue properties, the fatigue test program and test pieces were done, and the fatigue test was completed. On the basis of learning more about the fatigue properties of materials, the fatigue life analysis of the risk component was completed.Based on the finite element analysis and fatigue life analysis of the actuator, this paper made conventional fatigue reliability analysis and interval reliability analysis which is based on degree method of the actuator respectively. This paper proposed an interval reliability analysis model and calculation method based on interval method. It just needs to know the limits of uncertain parameters, without requiring specific distribution form. Thus, the requirements of original datas and the computing workload can be greatly reduced. The proposed interval reliability index and non-probabilistic reliability index was compared, results showed that interval reliability analysis results can be consistent with the non-probabilistic analysis results. Therefore, when there are not enough datas to do the probabilistic reliability analysis, interval reliability analysis method based on degree method can make a possible estimate of the structural security.
