With increasing development of economy and the accelerated pace of urbanization process, people's living standards are gradually improved. Good living environment has increasingly become the focus. In urban planning, conflict between scarce land resources and living environments of high quality becomes increasingly severe. One of the factors that directly lead to increased conflict is building's insolating. Therefore, the scientific research that is conducted to improve land-use ratio under the premise of satisfing insolating has important practical meaning.Nowadays, there have been great amount of researches on building's insolating analysis at home and abroad. Although good results have been achievedd, all these researches have some limitations. Based on prevailing current of building's insolating analysis, assumption that introducing a weight associated with intensity of solar radiation and judging the insolating of house buildigs according to intensity of insolating is raised. Judging building's insolating without using the sunine duration as the sole criteria to determining is more scientific and reasonable. In addition, some analyses about impact that common glass wall's of large buildings reflecting sun's light has on surrouding buildings are done.The basic principles of genetic algorithms are highlighted. Combinating that with principles of building's insolating, algorithmic ideas which are used to replace traditional method to calculate the maximum FAR(Floor-area Ratio) by experience are proposed about the solving process of maximum FAR under constraint of sunshine and algorithm optimization ideas are brought forward. That process includes model building methods, model building methods, design of fitness function and genetic operations. Good resulsts were achived in experiment. Finally, further research area is proposed.
