With the acceleration of urbanization and the development of science and techn-ology, especially in construction techniques during the past decade, more and more high and super-high, high-density building(s) with complex shapes and various layout configurations have emerged in city of China, resulting in a series of local wind environment problems that may affect peoples's comfort, pedestrian safety at the pedestrian height level (2.0m), effective diffusion of pollutants, the placement of out-door billboards, energy-saving and emission-reduction, the design of glass curtain w-all, i.e. So it's very important to do this kind of research.The buildings wind field's numerical simulation is one resolution method which is emerges along with the computer science and technology and CFD disciplines development, and was applied to solve buildings'responds under wind load. In this paper based on building aerodynamics numerical simulation theory, has carried on building group wind environment simulation and analysis.In this paper, the high building is simulated based on inspur high perfermance computing cluster (25 nodes,200 processors) hardware plateform and 64 bit parallel verison's FLUENT software plateform, taking an actual neighbourhood as the research object. Under simplifying model foundation, adopting real scale model, the numerical simulation using different inflow directions have been carried out with k-s turbulence model to obtain the rules of distribution of wind field aroud the buildings and pressure field on buildings, i.e. The results can provide the theoretically reference and foundation for city planning and high building planning, evaluating wind environment i.e. The paper's study process is from single building to group buildings.(1) Numerical simulation of wind envrionmet around single buildingIn condition of different inflow direction, wind field around building was simul-ated. It is easy to research influence rules of between flow direction and wind environment around building by the analysis of flowfield and pressure on the surface of building. (2) Numerical simulation of wind envrionmet around adjacent buildings Considering the three buildings layout of cross-section, two-dimension simulation was adopted to analyze rules of mutal interference between buildings under eight inflow direction.(3) Numerical simulation of wind envrionmet in an uban residential quarter Numerical simulation was made in a community by using three prevailing wind and speed as inflow boundary respectively. Then we find out the most dangerous area at pedestrian height level and analyze mechanism of its formation...
