The steel tube structure and the concrete-filled steel tubular structure are used as the pillar of prilling tower. The concrete-filled steel tubular structure makes good use of the steel tube and concrete's mutually restricted function in the stress process, i.e. the constraints of steel tube to concrete, which makes concrete into a state of three-dimensional, thus the concrete strength is increased, brittleness is decreased, and plasticity and toughness performance are greatly improved; At the same time, due to the deformation of concrete, the steel tube is put into a relatively complicated state, and the stability of steel tube wall is enhanced.By modeling two kinds of structure of the prilling tower, different beam section and real constants are defined, and a finite element model of prilling tower is established by using ANSYS parametric design language (APDL) and the beam element, stem cell, quality unit. A modal analysis is conducted to prilling tower, and then a seismic analysis is carried out according to the results of modal analysis. Time-history analysis and seismic spectrometry analysis is included in seismic analysis. Time-history analysis includes the process of seismic waves and the generation of artificial seismic waves. The processing of seismic waves is to make different seismic waves satisfy the specification of the maximum peak acceleration. The artificial seismic waves are to simulate a seismic wave according to the prilling tower's geographic conditions and seismic intensity. Analyses are carried out in different directions respectively to get the needed numerical values, and a needed curve is obtained by using of MATLAB to process the result. Analyses of all sorts of waves and spectrum corresponding results are compared and analyzed.The analysis of prilling tower's wind resistance is conducted by applying static analysis method. High-rise building structure in the wind load is under the effect of the average wind and fluctuating wind simultaneously, and the fluctuating wind can be equivalently expressed by using average wind through the form of wind vibration coefficient. The force of each node of each road axis is calculated, and a array is defined, so that each node force corresponds with the values of array. Wind load is applied to each node by utilizing looping statements, and calculation is conducted after the load is applied, then the displacement response of each node under the function of wind load is derived. The needed curve is obtained by using MATLAB to process the above results, and the results are analyzed at the end.Through the analyses and comparison of the two kinds of structure of prilling tower are, the conclusion are drawn to see which structure of prilling tower has better seismic and wind resistance. And the comparison is carried out to see if it meet the standard according to the norms.
