As a sort of water conservancy construction,Intake tower have complicated figure structure,boundary conditions and load situation.They generally have various types,for example concrete thin wall and empty abdomen form.They are frequently built in the reservoir close to the bank and joined with the bank by working bridge o n the top.Intake tower support the water pressure all around.O nce the intake tower was damaged,it can’t normally take water.Moreover,this will directly affect the reservoir water ’s supply and some other functions,which will have a huge impact on the production and living of residents.The intake tower is gene rally tall structure.So the seismic safety of the tower is very more important.This paper systematically introduces the development of static and dynamic analysis of intake tower,the structural static and dynamic analysis theory,finite element method and ANSYS application.The reasonable calculation method and stress analysis method of the intake tower and the general rule of stress distribution are summarized.This paper combines a reservoir intake tower project example,The finite element model was established by ANSYS,a large three-dimensional finite element analysis software.The numerical simulation of the intake tower is simulated and analyzed,and the characteristics,stress and deformation are analyzed.By using powerful preprocessor and gene ral postprocessor,not only the intake tower’s finite element model has been built and dispersed,but also simulated the calculation of the intake tower under the action of seismic load under the overall displacement and stress strain,the structure of the tower under the structure of the displacement and stress time course change curve.Taking into account various factors,the structural dynamic characteristics are analyzed in the dynamic calculation.Then the self-vibration characteristics of the whole structure of the intake tower are discussed.The seismic analysis of the intake tower was carried out by time history analysis method.The seismic response of the structure is analyzed,and the seismic performance of the structure is evaluated.The seismic performance of the structure of the intake tower is evaluated by the calculation results under the static load.Finally,the anti-sliding stability,anti-overturning stability and foundation bearing capacity of the intake tower are checked by the coefficient method.The results show that the safety factors meet the requirements of the specification and the structural design is reasonable and safe.
