An Application Of Research On The Deccoration Renovation Of Traditional Architecture

It is the relations of opposition and unity that there lies between the tradition and the modern. With rapid development of Chinese architectural decoration industry, accelerating urbanization, prompt expansion of globalisation and objective requirements of the after-earthquake reconstruction, it has presented Chinese architectural decoration industry with unprecedented challenges from the collision between foreign modern and traditional cultural. How to retain and develop own national culture during globalisation and create a innovative road to modern architectural decoration with the spirit of the times, has become a subject which men of insight of contemporary Chinese architectural decoration are trying to explore. Based on this background, this paper eloborated the necessity and urgency to the modern revitalization of Chinese traditional architectural decoration through applied research on traditional architectural decoration revitalization, on this basis, combining examples to implement some testified exploration about the applied patterns and princples of traditional architectural decoration revitalization.Starting with the current situation of architectural decoration industry, this paper brought forward the applied research suject on traditional architectural decoration revitalization and drew upon following conclusions through theoretic discussion and practical cases analysis:First, the vitality of architectural decoration roots in inheritance and absorbtion of traditional architectural decoration and renovates with appropriate technics.Second, traditional architectural decoration revitalization must persevere with the principles of meeting the needs of modern life, inheriting the genes of traditional architectural decoration, meeting the requirements of modern science and technology and modern aesthetic culture psychology, etc.Third, the methods of traditional architectural decoration revitalization mainly reflect three levels:the extension of shape, that is the usage of components and elements; the extraction of idea, that is the grasp of interface and layout; the inheritance of soul, that is the creation of space and temperament.Fourth, it is extremely unbalanced for traditional architectural decoration to be applied in all kinds of modern architectural decoration, more applied to architectural decoration with the demands of cultural context, such as winehouse, hotel, retaurant, teahouse and house decoration. It is relatively less applied to the decoration of industrial factory building and the sales field of supermakets.
