With the continuous improvement of control technology, a new type of aircraft called Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) which does not need a pilot came to our life. At present, UAV have been widely used in the military field, aerial reconnaissance, surveillance, communications, electronic jamming missions etc.And UAV has begin to show their power in civilian fields, aerial photography, mapping and so on.The Graduation Project's goal is to develop an aircraft control system which can be navigated automaticly. The hardware platform use LM3S1138-chip as the main control chip and the TourMate B165 plus GPS navigator and three-axis accelerometer MMA7455.The software architecture of the system refers to the TCP/IP layered protocol, the system is divided into four levels:the hardware layer, the hardware control layer, logic layer and application layer. The use of layered architecture of the system greatly improved the stability and portability, making the rate of error in software at a low level and the software easy to maintain and extend.Controling an aircraft requires a lot of control procedures working coordinately.The system imitates time-sharing operating system with a task manager that can schedule and switch system tasks, making the system look like it's processing many tasks at the same time.After designing the overall structure of the system,we designed module as the aircraft attitude calculation module, aircraft control module, GPS information decoder module, PWM output and acquisition modules, communications modules etc. At last we finished "Automatic Flight Control System for Aircraft" after we tested the every module and the whole system strictly and optimized the code.The system achieves the desired functions.It's easy to operate and practise.
