In recent years,the urban rail transit has an great development in our country. With the gradual improvement of urban rail transport as well as the improvement of living standard, ,citizen put forward higher requirement on urban rail transit. Therefore developing the urban rail vehicle with low noise, small virbation and good ride comfort has become the tendency of future transit. Because of the role of elastic elements of elastic wheels, many frequency components can be filtered out, especially the high frequency can be attenuated and the wheel-rail dynamic interaction can be effectively reduced so as to achieve the above requirement. So the resilient wheelset becomes the inevitable outcome of urban public traffic.The ratio of the resilient wheel's radical stiffness to axial stiffness is very important in structure design, so this paper make a thorough research on this and the next simulation was carried out basing on it.Firstly, this paper outlines the background and current situation of the studies on resilient wheels, then introduces the structure of the widely used resilient wheels and describes the problem which should be pay more attention in the design; secondly, the dynamic model of urban rail vehicle with resilient wheels is established with the application of multi-body system dynamics analysis software SIMPACK,which was used to optimize the resilient wheel's radical stiffness to axial stiffness; then the relitionships among rubber stiffness, rubber damping, running speed are analysised and the dynamic performance of the urban rail vehicle is been evaluated in order to affirm whether the resilient wheels has advantage in different track excitation and different running speed compared with the traditional wheels; thirdly, the wheel-rail noise is analysised to verify whether the resilient wheels can reduce the noise compared with the rigidy wheelset by transtrating the vibration acceleration of axlebox into the vibration acceleration grade, besides wheel-rail rolling noise and wheel-rail scream noise are analysised respectively.This simulation indicates that the resilient wheel has advantages in reducing wheel-rail dynamic interaction and noise. Undoubtly, it has wide application and research prospects.
