Wheelset is the main part of the vehicle system,with the increase of the running speed,the interaction between wheel and rail is more severe,and the influence of the elastic modal characteristics on the vibration of wheel-rail system cannot be neglected.In this paper,based on the research object of a certain type of high-speed train in China,combining multi-body dynamics and finite element method,and the rigid-flexible coupling dynamics model has been established based on considering the flexibility of wheelset and frame.Considering the coupling effect of the wheelset on continuous multi-order modal and the individual action of each order modal in 1000Hz,the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle under different working conditions have been simulated and compared with the simulation results of the rigid body wheel,the influence of wheel on the wheel-rail system is investigated,the results show that:(1)The main influence of the wheelset on the dynamic performance is the torsion and the 1st or 2nd order bending modal.In the vehicle dynamics simulation,it is considered that the 7-14 order modal can obtain better simulation accuracy,and the effect of the modal after the 14st order on the wheel-rail dynamic performance is very small.(2)When the vehicle is running at low speed on the straight line,the torsional modal of wheelset has a great influence on the wheel-rail dynamic performance.The dynamic action of wheel-rail is intensified when vehicle is running at high speed,and the influence of wheelset’s modal on the wheel-rail vertical action is not obvious.However,the 1st or 2nd order bending vibration can aggravate the lateral action of wheel-rail,which reduces the critical speed of the vehicle by about 9%.(3)When the vehicle passes through the curve,the modals of wheelset will increase the wheelset weight reduction and the derailment coefficient slightly,but the safety limit is not exceeded.In addition,the torsion of wheelset and the 1st or 2nd order bending will increase obviously the longitudinal creep force,and the influence of lateral creep force is limited.Compared with the rigid wheelset,the wear number of elastic wheelset increases more than 20%,and the 1st order bending has the most influence on wear.The bending effect of wheelset leads to the expansion of the lateral contact position distribution area of wheel,which moves to the inside of the track.The contact point of the outside is close to the root of the flange in a short time,and it’s easy to impact the flange and rail.(4)When the first-order bending modal is resonant,the cyclic variation of the creep force has an effect on the wheel polygon wear.The 1st or 2nd bending modal will aggravate the wear of the polygon wheel.Increasing the bending stiffness of axle can reduce the bending deformation of wheelset,which can effectively relieve the wheel’s polygon abrasion.This paper studies the influence of wheel-rail interaction on wheelset modal,which will provide a reference for the low-power design of high speed train wheelset in our country.
