| In this thesis, finite element method was employed to analyze the thermal stress of asphalt pavement under low temperature. Firstly, a pavement structure model was proposed to analyze the thermal field and the thermal stress. According to the measured data, the distribution of temperature field and temperature gradient were obtained. The effect of thermal conductivity coefficient on the temperature gradient was simulated. Secondly, thermal stress in the asphalt pavement under low temperature was analyzed based on the analyzing of temperature field. The influence of material, structural parameters and temperature changes on the thermal stress was studied. In addition, the importance of reference temperature was emphasized. Finally, the author proposed a preliminary approach for the design of asphalt pavement in cold region. The research results are of reference value for improving asphalt pavement design under low temperature. |
