Through application of BOSCH high pressure common rail system and improvement of cylinder liner, engine block, cylinder gasket, cylinder head, main bearing cap, water pump, flywheel housing, the diesel engine achieves high reliability, durability and cooling efficiency under high peak pressure. In order to meet higher emission standard, some key parts are improved, such as common rail system, injector, combustion chamber, swirl ratio, turbocharger. Then through bench test, the best technical rout is fixed. And then through bench calibration, the diesel engine achieves best efficiency and EuroIII emission standard. After series of calibration, for example, vehicle drivability calibration, altitude calibration, summer calibration and winter calibration, the engine and the vehicle achieve the best performance before start of production.
