Thanks to the growing economics and booming decoration industry, more and more people pay deep attention to the particleboard, which was regarded as a wonderful wood-based panel to be used in furniture industry. In that case, it becomes a new trend to introduce a fully-automatic, high-capacity, modern continuous production line from oversea, to improve and upgrade the previous industry structure, which still have a poor efficiency or low capacity output.AD company was the first Continuous Press System (CPS) particleboard line with 220,000m3/y capacity in China since 2005, playing an important role in wood-based industry in China. However, this company always keeps in mind to improve the efficiency of production line to reduce the unit cost, because of the strong competition in the marketing and shortage of raw materials,as well as the higher labor cost.Based on the present situation, this thesis try to collect and analyze the production data, especially for the real capacity in respective workshop section, using the basic theory of Industrial Engineering, such as process analysis, production balance, engineering economics and ergonomics, to find out the actual bottleneck in the whole production line. At the end of the analysis, the knife-ring flakers' capacity was regarded as the bottleneck in the production line, then the feasible solution schemes were analyzed and put in practice. Finally found that introducing two knife-ring flakers has brought contribution to the real capacity of the production line, which increases up 3.06 m3/h,Meanwhile, to arrange a better work conditions and workshop environment in jobsite can enhance the efficiency of the production.
