Sugar esters are widely used in food, medicine, chemical industry as nonionic surfactant. It is non-toxic, odorless, easily biodegradable, etc., attracting much attention of domestic and foreign scholars. This dissertation had studied the synthesis,properties of surficial chemistry, compound performance, purification and applying capability. The main test results were as follows:1.synthesis of alkenyl succinic acid sugar esters. The water phase method for sugar ester reaction with uniform, environmentally friendly advantages.2.the surface chemical properties of alkenyl succinic acid sugar esters. Sugar ester has the very high surface activity, theγCMC of DDSS was 3.628 mN·m-1 smaller than LAS and the CMC was 0.76 g·L-1 smaller. The solubilization of sugar esters was significantly stronger than LAS, its solubility limit can be reached 0.2mL, and LAS reached only 0.07mL; long carbon chain sugar ester has stronger solution of emulsion ability than low carbon chain sugar ester; the foaming power and foam stability of sugar esters were increased by the growth of carbon chain; the HLB of sugar esters were higher than 11, can be used as a O/W emulsifiers, have strong solubilization, detergency and wetting effect. With the growth of carbon chain ,the hard water stability was slightly reduced,but it was better than LAS.3. the compound performance of alkenyl succinic acid sugar esters . It was found that the critical micelle concentration(CMC)and the corresponding surface tension at such concentration (γcmc) are determined from theirγ-lgC curves was clearly degressive.Especially,the cmc andγcmc drop to the lowest when the proportion is 2:3 and 4:1. Sugar esters are low-foaming surfactants, with anionic and nonionic surfactant mixture of these surfactants can reduce the height of the bubble,enhanced foam stability,played a good synergies. The poor transparency of ODSS and APG compound,the mixed solution of transparency has been greatly improved,indicating that the sugar ester solution has good compatibility ODSS and APG compound result from a strong synergistic effect in that the ODSS's hard water stability was significantly enhanced.4. the purification of alkenyl succinic acid sugar esters.By electrophoresis can be crude sugar ester in separate sugar and sugar esters, but what will be left to the sugar and sugar esters extracted, is to determine the active substance content of a difficult;Determined by extracting active substance content is simple and quick.5. the applying capability of alkenyl succinic acid sugar esters.It has a strong ability to reduce the CMC of the solution to improve the performance of washing detergent; increased formulation viscosity; improve detergency; reduce foaming, can be used as low-foaming surfactant.
