The traditional approaches of monitoring water are mostly by doing physical and chemical analysis on the water samples on fixed point and profile and calculate the water evaluation. In the dynamic monitoring of a wide range of waters, there will be a large number of shortcomings such as the high cost, heavy workload, and low efficiency. The radiation characteristics of water bodies can be detected by microwave radiometer. The pollution can be monitored with the help of the radiation characteristics. And this way is a new method to detect the water pollution which can come over the shortcomings of the traditional methods.Microwave remote sensing technology can work on all-weather, all-time to monitor large waters water. Microwave is particularly sensitive to the sea water. The wavelength is very suitable for observing the dynamics of the sea. Therefore, the microwave remote sensing methods can accurately reflect the pollution levels and spatial information on some regional and even entire basin. In addition, the microwave radiometers can overcome fog, rain and other inclement weather. It observes the same waters at different stages. Then we can analyze and predict the trend of water pollution. We get timely and accurate information to protective and control water pollution. The main content of the paper as follows:Fist, the study target is film pollution. We set up effective simulation model and find out the relationship between temperature and film thickness. Secondly, the study target is salinity that can be reflected by complex dielectric constant. We simulate the complex dielectric constant to obtain the curve with salinity changes. We have provided the basic data for the inversion of salinity. Thirdly we did some experiments and inverted the radiation temperature of vegetation, plastic foam and cardboard boxes on the water. The results verify that the goal on the water can be detected by the radiometer.
