It is rich in mineral resources in China The disordered mining, not only caused the waste of resources, has led to a variety of related geological disasters and environmental pollution incidents, which influence healthy of the local people and ecological environment and social stability greatly. How to monitor and enforce of the mining process, which is a major problem faced by the department of land. In currently.there are two ways for the M i ni ng remote sensi ng survey.Firstly, using basic mapping data of topographic maps of geology or mineral resources maps to survey the features in the Surface Mining System (SMS) and get the distribution of the various elements; Another is using high spatial resolution images for remote sensing visual interpretation and combining with field verification of authentication methods. But the both of these methods are lack of automatic extraction and the efficiency is not high. Mining remote sensing multi-element data integration platform is based on this point, under the support of the National Natural Science Foundation, using the remote sensing image data to extract the surface feature which is closely related to mining acti vities in different layers, such as the mine adit, roads, tailings library, waste stockpile and so on, which are display as point, line, polygon feature information in the layer, and based on the spatial relationships between the elements and the inherent structure of rules to identify and locate mines. As such a wide range of mineral resources survey, it will either save a lot of manpower, material, financial resources and time, and improve the efficiency of investigations for the illegal mining of Land and Resources and the State Administration of Work Safety department monitoring and key national mine management science basis for decision making. The Mining remote sensing multi-element data integration platform is developed based on the IDL, MATLAB and Oracle Spatial tools, which integrate a set of data extraction and spatial data analysis in one platform. It is not only integrated IDL massive image data processing speed, and also integration of spatial analysis and database capabilities of Oracle Spatial tools, at the same time, it has also joined the MATLAB artificial neural network forecasting and recognition. It is characterized in that span to the identification of multi-element surf ace features extracted from the single elements of identification. Platform in addition to the basic functions of the image, such as Hawkeye, zoom in, zoom out, pan, etc., but also for the different elements of design professional remote sensing information extraction functions:the spectral characteristics extraction module, the shape feature extraction module and texture features extraction module, and each sub-module algorithm mine road extraction model, the tailings extraction model and mine waste heap the extracted model construction work. In short, the architecture and preliminary implementation of the Mine remote sensing multi-element data integration platform, has a strong practical value and guiding significance to further improve the work, will push forward with the project completed by the follow-up study.
