| Drying step is the last one during MBS production, so it directly influences the product appearance, performance and quality, energy consumption, etc. The MBS product quality depends on the drying technology. Drying units technology advanced demanding, often directly affect the quality level of MBS resin. Using simple practical, advanced equipment, convenient operation, power economic technology, is the key of MBS resin dry post-processing.The gas flow cyclone drying process is widely used for resin production due to its heat and mass transfer and residence time. The fundamental research and application research on the gas flow cyclone drying process is very instructively significant to master the process core technique and control the production.In this paper, the gas flow cyclone drying process is described in combination of the production plant in Jilin Petrochemical Company and the pilot MBS resin cyclone drier is introduced and proven feasible. The gas flow cyclone drier for 5000t/a MBS resin production plant is designed according to the experimental results of the pilot drier. The gas flow drying pipes have the design length of 10 m and design diameter of 0.55 m. the cyclone drier has the diameter of 2.0 m, height of 5 m, and pressure drop of 83 Kpa. The process parameters are optimized, such as hot air temperature of 110-130℃, drier inlet temperature of 70-80℃and drier outlet pressure of-0.8kPa.Finally, the practical application of the gas flow cyclone drier for 5000t/a MBS esin production plant is examined. The result shows that the drier works normally, has the s.able control indices, strong adaptability to production, the actual production meeting the design capacity, and meets the expected objective. |
