The Application And Practice Of Color Management In CUBE - 260 Printing Machine

With the development of the national economy, the government has attached more and more importance to its image, and great improvement has taken place in the urban and suburban areas, the city image has been greatly improved by the digging, protecting and developing the historical sites. Meanwhile, people have become more and more picky with the architecture in the city and in the scenic spots, as a result of the broadening sight, particularly with the signboards and outdoor billboards.Nowadays, screen printing technology and jet drawing have been used for printing signboards and billboards, while the former one could be used for mass print with the help of a model, but with the deficiency in precision, definition, consistency, amount of products and costs. Jet drawing, on the other hand, could reach high precision, definition and consistency without a model, for which it is widely adopted by more and more printing equipments. However, these printing equipments differ widely in color management, color precision and consistency.This article focuses on the improvement of color management nationwide, and adopts embedded color management software to manage the output of the printing equipments. The principle of color management is put in practice on the upscale large format printing machine imported from South Korea, which enables flexible adjustments of color output according to the requirements of the consumers, as well as proper correction of color deviation. As a result, user-defined related parameter is stored in the data base for re-use.The equipment covers an printing volume of 120,000 square meters, including Xi Xi Everglades National Park in Hangzhou, parks in and around the West Lake, Baosteel Group Corporation in Shanghai, Amanfayun Six-star Hotel, Xin Kaiyuan Hotel, Kai Yuan Holiday Inn, Kai Lun Hotel and Lv Cheng Hospital and so on.This article illustrates the principle of color management and explores the application as well as the practice on the specific printing machines. The results come as following:(1) To optimize the output state and performance parameter and to reduce the color deviation. (2) To add the function of users management, adjust the color and store the parameters in the data base for re-use.(3) To take the influence of lights on the human color vision into consideration and conduct some beneficial exploration with some improvement of the software.This article carries a detailed explanation on the application and practice of color management adopted by CUBE-260 printing machines. In the future, the improved CUBE large format printing machines series will further adapt to the developing trend of the large format printing machines with high definition.
