Research On Auto Color Measurement Control Technology And System For Four Color Offset Printing Machine

Auto color measurement control technology and system is one of modern multi-color offset printing key technologies. The quality and production efficiency of printing has been greatly enhanced by this system. This paper is supported by a"11th Five-Year" plan which named digital, automation common key printing technology research. In this paper research of color measurement and quality control technologies and Design of corresponding system are done.The necessity of developing the auto color measurement and control technology is demonstrated by paper. After introducing color printing related theory the feasibility of two control methods which named density measurement and color measurement are discussed detailedly. Then a preliminary system which included hardware and software architecture is designed. After studying principle of two color to ink conversion algorithm which one based on the density and the other one based on color a workflow for a conversion algorithm is designed, and relevant mathematic proof is given. The detailed flow chart is introduced when researching the implementing of core algorithm. Then the color conversion algorithm software which used Java technology and object-oriented design method is developed. PLC technology is used to implement system bottom control. Hardware connection and PLC program are given for several key nod such as ink knife control and the show of ink knife. To integrate the color measurement and control system the OPC technology is used. After researching role and status of color measurement and control system in the printing process an advance color measurement and control system which according JDF specifications is developed.At the last we summarized paper and give the expectation of this project.
