| For printing enterprises’ part, such situations are usually encountered: printingproducts are different from printing originals in color aspect, which result incustomers’ complaints, economical loss and also reputation loss. If color disaccordcan’t be solved, customers will leave and the printing enterprise’s economicalefficiency and long-distance benefit will be affected. Then how to solve such color disaccord? CMS (Color Management System) maybe an efficient key to the problem. This thesis begins with concept, function, form and aim of color management forprinting, then explores and discusses application, difficulties and perspective of colormanagement for printing with examples of computer display and digital proofing. At first, bringing out CMS idea throughout the common phenomenon of colordisaccord in printing enterprises. On the basis of explanation for principle of CMS, Thisthesis goes further into describing the concept, function, form and aim of colormanagement for printing.Secondly, this thesis explores and demonstrates the course of color management inprinting fields in details by examples of computer monitor’s calibration and digitalproofing printer’s calibration. The course of color management is short for “3C†phaseswhich include calibration, characterization and conversion. In an entirely whole printingcourse, there are three kinds of equipment named monitor, input equipment and outputequipment. Input equipment includes scanner and digital camera, output equipmentincludes printer, image setter, CTP, digital printing machine and traditional offsetprinting machine. In order to keep color accord in printing course, those three kinds ofequipment must be calibrated and color management must be executed. Finally, this thesis introduces the application, difficulties and perspective of colormanagement for printing. For the part of printing enterprises, CMS maybe maintaincolor accord and obtain scarcely the same color when comparing printing products tooriginals, but not once for all. The printing color management is a repeated andconsecutive course. The printing color management is not omnipotent; it must dependon advanced equipment and excellent talents. |
