A Research On The Traditional Culture Of Tujia Minority And Ecological Protection

The ancestor of Tujia lived in the area of Wuling for generations.The particularity of geographical position makes special traditional culture of tujia. The plain ecological concept owned by them thought that human and nature should live equally and together, and as this concept and the behavior guided by this concept promote the beautiful prospect lived in harmony by human and nature.The purpose of this thesis is to explain the relationship between traditional culture of tujia and ecological protection according to the theory and research method of combining ecological anthropology with cultural ecology, and it is also to analyze the ecological concept of tujia, behavioral culture guided by this kind of ecological concept and system culture. The significance of this thesis not only promoted the development on protecting nature and ecological environment and living in harmony between human and nature, but also provided evidence of constructing and protecting ecological culture tour for decision-making department so that make more harmonious Exi ecological culture tourism circle.This thesis mainly is divided into three parts: the first part abstracts the ecology concepts from Tujia mythic legends, folk proverbs and other materials, and excavated awareness of environmental protection from Tujia traditional culture. The second part sets behavioral culture and institutional culture from the Tujia traditional culture as the research objects .The thesis analyze the ecological protection from production activities, religious rites, the customary law and ritual; utilize the data which comes from field research as further supplement, all of which are fully explained the close relationship between Tujia traditional culture and ecological protection, that is Tujia traditional culture implies many factors of the ecological protection. Exactly, the unique traditions made great contributions for Tujia areas of ecological protection. The third part mainly discuses the value of Tujia traditional culture in the protection of the ecology and its contribution for Exi ecological culture tourism circle.
