Preliminary Study Of The Quantitative Evaluation Of Ecological Environment Quality Of Coal Cities

The study of eco-city is in the ascendant, this lead many researchers to study. but most studies are almost about academic research and qualitative analysis. quantitative evaluation of the eco-city study is relatively weak. And at the same time, coal city as a special type city, the construction of ecological city is less. In view of two congnitions, this paper constructs an evaluation index system of ecological environmental quality evaluation of coal cities, and quantitatively evaluates the cities'ecological environment quality from different aspects, covering the following areas:1.Construct an evaluation index system of ecological environmental quality of coal cities:Sustainable urban development concept as a guide, drawing on the existing eco-city index system of research results and consulting the characteristics of the coal city, we establish a set of eco-city construction index system that through optimization. The index system mainly contains three criteria layers,10 field layers and 28 indicators, then the meaning of various indicators and detailed description to determination of the criteria value are explained.2. Establishment of evaluation model:At the base of absorbing the results of previous researches, we use a variety of mathematical methods to establish the evaluation model. This model includes the determination of weights, classification of comment sets and standardization of data and so on.3. Quantitative assessment of ecological environmental quality about to the five coal cities:these five cities are Huainan, Huaibei, Tongchuan, Xuzhou and Jining. We assess these cities respectively on ecosystem structure, function and coordination. From the study we find Xuzhou and Jining have a higher degree, Huainan and Huaibei have the degree of ordinary, the city which have lower ecological degree is Tongchuan. And we respectively analyze the difference of three aspects:the region's GDP, coal production and spatial distribution.4. Take Huainan for an example, we study the change of the quality of the ecological environment over the years (1998-2007), and forecast Huainan's future eco-city construction. From the study, The score of the ecological environment quality in Huainan is fluctuating upward. Its ecological level has got great improvement, but a long distance remains.
