The genus Phalacrotophora, which belongs to the order Diptera, the superfamily Phoroidea, the family Phoridae, and the subfamily Metopininae, was established by Enderlein, a German scholar, using P. bruesiana Enderlein as the type species of the genus in 1912. 54 species were recorded worldwide, and 5 species were known in China. Most species are parasitic type, especially in the larva and pupa of ladybirds, Which are important in economy.China stretches across the Palaerctic realm and Nearctic Regions, and has complex geomorphologic landscapes, obvious climate differentiation and various animal habitats. Phoridae species are abounding and fauna are complex. This dissertation discusses Phalacrotphora fauna distribution in China on the basis of biological morphology. This dissertation classifies more than 300 samples of Phalacrotphora collected from 10 provinces in China, identifies and describes 20 species of Phalacrotphora in China, including 15 new species. Moreover, this dissertation adds the distribution records of two known species in China, shoots photos of morphology using CCD three-dimensional microscopic imaging technology, draws 12 characteristic patterns by CorelDRAW12, and presents a key to Phalacrotphora in China.New species of Phalacrotphora in China: P. yunnanensis sp.nov.,P. stenofrons sp.nov.,P. chaetocaudalis sp.nov.,P. gracilis sp.nov.,P. heteroloba sp.nov.,P. furcilata sp.nov.,P. longicadalis sp.nov.,P. octomaculata sp.nov.,P. platytorsa sp.nov.,P. brevinerva sp.nov.,P. ningxiaensis sp.nov.,P. nigricolor sp.nov.,P. caudarguta sp.nov.,P. lingulata sp.nov.,P. brunneus sp.nov..
