GIS And RS Supported Evaluation Of Cultivated Land Quality

The cultivated land protection is vital for China which is famous for agriculture, so it is particularly important to evaluate the quality of the cultivated land which can comprehensively reflect the properties of the cultivated land. Taking Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone as this study area, on the basis of data collected and correlation literature researched and analyzed, the theory research of county cultivated land quality evaluation was firstly taken and empirical study of cultivated land quality evaluation was achieved next in ArcGIS9.3 platform, Erdas9.2 platform combined with ENVI4.6 platform, supported by the geographical information system (GIS), remote sensing (RS) and related mathematical model. Among the whole process, single factor model influencing the quality of cultivated land were constructed, principal component analysis determines and implements the index weights,based on these,multiple factor comprehensive evaluation model was builded to evaluate cultivated land quality. The multiple factor comprehensive evaluation model can run after clicking the button of ok, then the evaluation complete. The paper explores a path which is accurate, rapid, qualitative and quantitative, what you see is what you get, and easy to realize and promote to relize the cultivated land quality evaluation. Meanwhile, further use of the single factor evaluation model and the multiple factor comprehensive evaluation model is explored according to the situation of the study area and the function of the cultivated land quality evaluation, then the useful model was put in the final model with the multiple factor model. Then, all of the evaluation result was analyzed according to the administrative and the grading, this analysis process also integrated into the model.
