Study on spectral characteristics of ground objects is an important part of modern remote sensing technology. It is not only the accordance of sensor design and band selection, but also the basis for interpretation of remote sensing data analysis. In recent years, quantitative remote sensing has become the most significant character of remote sensing science, but the study of quantitative remote sensing can not discard the strong support of ground object spectrum database and the corresponding remote sensing knowledge base and module base. The effect given by environment coerces factors on typical ground objects in a study area, such as vegetation, water, waste rocks can be seen on the change of their spectrums. The change of spectrums could represent the change of ecological environment in an area. Therefore, the mutation of spectrums can be used as the basis for environmental monitoring in mining area.This thesis selects Yanzhou mining area as the study area, satellite image data are used for the locating and surveying of natural or artificial elements to get the type, position and distribution patterns information, such as vegetation, waste rocks, and so on. We have collected the spectral data by field work and studied data quality control methods on the data. We have established a ground object spectral database for Yanzhou mining area which can be used for quantitative spectral analysis. The function of spectrum auto-classify and auto-match and retrieve were implemented based on the database which can provide reliable spectral data for analysis or evaluation on ecological environment in the area. The critical technologies in this thesis include spectral classification management technology based on relational database, ground object data quality control methods and flow design, auto classification, match and retrieve methods study and programming implementation, and spectrum curves rapid drawing and interaction technology.This thesis has built a typical ground object spectral database for Yanzhou mining area and a set of critical data quality control system have been built for the database. The studies on spectral data auto classification, auto match and retrieve methods are carried out based on the database and data quality control system which can provide reliable data support for mining area spectral analysis.
