Combining serial Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Open Source Software (Geoserver, PostgreSQL, PostGIS and uDig), this graduated design studies the county economy GISWeb releasing mechanism and its procedure and researches the major plan and technical process. The fundamental principles of Web publication is explained by inducing and sorting out the basic knowledge of GIS thematic maps as well as the detailed introduction on the operation of GeoServer, uDig. The basic approach and procedures of economic indicators released by thematic map Web is systematically analyzed; the relevant data storage models is designed and the geographic database of economy GIS Web release is established by using the open source software—GeoServer. The method and overall process of geo-spatial data is managed by the spatial database. Finally, by the use of collected economic indicators and given basic geographic data, a basic prototype system of the Reqinal GIS Web Release is structured to realize the major functions such as map display, zoom, narrow, whole graph display, data query, etc.The study contains five parts: Charpter One introduces the current situation and its significance of application on Regional GIS for giving the main contents and orientation of the research; Charpter Two deals with some related supporting theories and technology; Charpter Three explains the data organization and structural design of storage on Reqinal GIS in details; Charpter Four explores the methods and steps on further study of Reqinal GIS Web Release; Charpter Five, the last part of the research, perferms the systematical test, and discusses the limitation and the possibility of future study.
