The rapid development of urbanization, the rapid increase in population, caused urban plant diversity is declining. And the reduction of urban plant diversity causes urban ecological environment becaming serious deterioration,urban ecosystem is out of balance, and the sustainable development of city will be hindered in the end. So, urban Plant diversity is a guarantee of sustainable urban development, and an important part of the national garden city.Longyan city is in the southwest of Fujian province, called the "western Fujian" and was named "Provincal Garden City" in2006. In order to further promote sustainable development into city, to build national garden city, engaging in urban planning study of plant diversity. Longyan plant resources on the basis of investigation, the city of Longyan plant genetic diversity, plant species diversity, plant diversity, plant diversity, the status of the landscape, the city of Longyan City, the Plant Diversity of problems, On this basis the protection of plant diversity in Longyan City Planning. Results:(1) there are 2741 species,879genera and 233families of vascular plants in Longyan city,including 217 species,85genera and 42 families of pteridophytes; 47 species,25 genera and 10 families of gymnosperms; 2477 species,769 genera and 181 families ofangiosperms. urban plantof Longyan city focused on the large family. While the distribution of genera is very uneven and polarization, and single species and few species are dominant, medium is the second,larger and large are the last. Longyan City has a wealth of rare and endangered plants, Andstate-leve protecte plants contain 4speciesof firset-leve,16 speciesof second-leve, more than 40 provincial key protection species. But its distribution is uneven, and did not get effective protection. There are 220(Grade 90 trees, two trees 115, a name Wood 15) old trees in Longyan City, which conver 18 species,18 genera and 14 families. The resource of old trees, but as the public is weake of awareness of protecting, old trees are different degrees of damaged.(2)Through the analysis of the the diversity of forest plant communities and wetland plant community in longyan city, found that thetypes of forest plant communities and wetland plant community are very rich, but as to human factors, the diversity of plant community is damaged. Through the analysis of the diversityof urban greenspace plant community, understand that urban plant communities is simple, and have a large number of alien plant species. Plant community diversity index in the order from largest to smallest: parks> unit garden green> green space> residential area.(3) Through the analysis of the status of plant diversity of the landscape in longyan, understand that type of landscape plant diversity for the tree of life 192,172 shrubs,231 herbs, vines,36 species of plants,288 species of evergreen, deciduous tree planting 115 species, all evergreen and deciduous species number the number is about the ratio of 2.5:1. Ornamental garden plants showed flowers and foliage plants in the main view, but the tree layer of flower plants and foliage plants too little, flower plants mainly in the shrubs, foliage plants mainly in the herbs.(4) Planning from the species diversity, plant genetic diversity conservation planning, plant community diversity conservation planning, protection planning, landscape diversity of plant in Longyan City, the plant diversity into conservation planning.It is insufficient for the protection planning of plant diversity in longyan city.
