Terahertz spectrum is the fingerprint spectra of material in the Far-infrared light district, which reflected the molecular collective vibration and lattice vibration, and it has a broad prospect in chemistry. Porphyrins are important ligands other than protein and nucleic acid bases in nature, which are very important in many life activity process.Terahertz spectrum of porphyrins will help people to know and apply porphyrins further, and it also help to use terahertz technology in chemistry and life science, etc.Six porphyrins were synthesised, and the TPP was synthesised by the method of Pan Jigang and the method of Lei Yuwu respectively, and it show that the method of Lei Yuwu is better, the product has high purity, and it's very easy to remove impurities. Then TPPZn,TPPCu and TNPP were synthesised by the method of Lei Yuwu, THPP and TPPMn were synthesised by the traditional method. The structure of the six porphyrins was identified by UV and IR.Terahertz spectrum of the six porphyrins obtained with terahertz time-domain spectra technology by the method of low density polyethylene doping and the method of spectrum pure of KBr doping. The flake was obtained by meltdown the mixture of low density polyethylene and porphyrin, and the mixture of KBr and porphyrin was pressed into flake. It show that the six porphyrin could be distinguished by terahertz absorption spectrum and transmission spectrum, and each of the porphyrin has characteristic absorption peak in the terahertz absorption spectrum, and the discrimination of the absorption spectrum is higher than the transmission spectrum.
