In recent years, II -VI group semiconductor quantum dots glass has become a hotspot of the optical functional material and it may be some important applied foregrounds in the appliances of optical computer optical communication and photoelectric devices, because it has some excellent optical characters: special character of nanomaterial (for example, quantum size effect surface effect dielectric confinement effect and so on) large third order nonlinear optical response fast optical response time and so on.ZnSe/SiO2 semiconductor quantum dots glass is a kind of 0-3 type functionalnanocomposite, i.e. ZnSe semiconductor nanocrystals are embedded in an host glass. ZnSe is a kind of typical wide-direct-gap II -VI group semiconductor, has such excellent photoelectric properties, and is an important post-selection material for blue-green lighting, so selecting ZnSe as functional active component of nanocomposite has a special meaning. However, because the surfaced atoms of ZnSe nanocrystals are lack of coordination, have so many dangling bond, and response with material in surrounding environment easily, it is often instability in the air and become agglomerated, which lead to unavailability. On the other hand, adapting it in a silicon dioxide gel glass may improve the stability of nanocrystals. Also there may be a strong dielectric effect in this form, and expect to observe many fancy characters in order to exploit the merit of the composite.There was few research about ZnSe / SiO2 semiconductor quantum dots glass, sowe believe that the characterization of it must upgrade our knowledge about its optical performances and supply more experimental data about the optical nature of II -VI group semiconductor quantum dots glass. In order to obtain more information about microstructure, level structure luminous character and carrier dynamics wholly, we use UV-Vis transmission spectra, photoluminescence spectra, picosecond resolved fluorescence spectra transient absorption spectra and the effective massapproximation module to attribute and analysis the spectrum character of it.
