Implementation Of Map Services System On 3G Platform Based On WebGIS

As people's living standards higher, travel rate is growing. It will make people to have more pressing demand to map service. For instance, you need search for features location and the shop, hospital, school, scenic spots, etc within the specified range. The traditional mapping services fixed in desktop terminal, but now people who have accustomed to using portable terminal, such as notebook computer, PDA, mobile phones, need to use mapping services at any time, any place. Mobile mapping service system arises.But traditional mobile terminal map service system which is used very not easy ,because it existed some shortage, such as mobile communications bandwidth limited, delay. Particularly, the emergence of 3G mobile terminal and 3G communication protocol with high speed of data transmission provides a new platform and means for ascension of map service mode.Based on the conclusion of the original map services system of mobile platform ,and optimizing existing functions, this paper attempts to a new mode of personal map service in 3G mobile ased on WebGIS. Through the 3G mobile platform, it realized the function of Request-analysis -service.Users can acquire the necessary services, search for the map information at any time.Based on the traditional WebGIS map service system development process, with platform of ArcGIS Server9.2,Visual Studio 2005,solving the mobile terminal access to the internet web site smoothly, I have designed map service system of ChongQing Nanan distract (Part) for 3G platform. In the development process, it follows the Mobile Web Best Practices, also need to pay attention to the feature of 3G mobile communication technology and 3G mobile platform, such as mobile phone keyboard controlling sofeware, tiny screen, small storage space, various types of equipment, etc.
