Leadership effectiveness is always one of focus of leadership studies, but the study based on the Chinese business managers is relatively weak. What's more, compared with other fields, leadership study bring up little model in practice. The article scans the past study of leadership and other subjects concerned, especially the studies focus on leadership style Then the article decides to sudy the lesdership effectiveness based on Chinese business managers and draws out a suggestive model to adjust the leadership behaviours of business managers.The article finds some valuable information and suggestions, also a few questions from the past study which the grounds of the questionnaire designed by us to know the realality about Chinese business managers. The questionnaire refers to the theory of cognitive psychology, icluding some basic prinpicles and methods. The questionnaire includes three main topics, such as, orgnization culture, the cognition of leadership style of the managers and the self-cognition of lesdership style of the managers. Forty-eight questions are contained in the questionnaire. The further objective of the inquiry is to study the relationship of the leadership effectiveness with the cognition of leadership style and with the self-cognition of leadership style of the managers. At last the investigation involves fifty-five enterprise, one hundred and sixty managers and one hundred eighty-four subordinates.Lastly the article draws out a suggestivre model to better the leadership style of Chinese business managers according to the theory of ABC put forwardby a American clinical psychologist named Albert Alice. Thus the article draws out a systematic concept of leadership effectiveness, involving three aspects. The first aspect is tha the leaders should have multiple leadership style. The second is the leaders should use different leadership style combination according to the changeful circumstances. The last aspect is about how to better the leadership style following with the demands of the circumstances and leaders themselves. |
