This paper explored the leadership behaviors selection and their effectiveness in cross-cultural contexts, using qualitative and quantitative research methods. Based on reviews of leadership research paradigm, cross-cultural research paradigm and cross-cultural leadership research paradigm, this paper demonstrates the effect of cultural factors on leadership behaviors selection and effectiveness, and also constructs its research variables, research paradigm and research tools.This paper divided leadership behaviors into 12 categories in compliance with the research result of Ohio State University study group. Treating cross-cultural difference as a moderator, this paper tests the frequency of same behaviors and their separate effectiveness. The research scales employed in this paper include Leader Behavior Description Questionnaire, Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ5) and Value Survey Module VSM(94). Collecting data through survey, this research tested the hypothesis under the help of SPSS statistical analysis software. Meanwhile, this research also measured respondents' scores on different dimensions of culture and compared these scores with the past. By comparison, this research concluded the cultural changing direction. The final results demonstrate that the same behaviors are not same frequently behaved in different cross-cultural contexts, and also, effectiveness of various behaviors is contingent on the cross-cultural contexts.
