Foundation Construction Project Cost Control In Construction

The project cost management is the most important part of the project management. And then, the cost control in application acts as the representation of the level of the synthetic project management in a project. The cost control is a systematic work in which many necessary technologies and management methods should be used to plan, organize and supervise the project.Today, it is of very special importance to these enterprises which have to survive and develop in the highly competitive market. But how to carry out an effective cost control ? In the first place, the theory of modern cost management has been systematically and comprehensively illustrated in this thesis. In the second place, all kinds of knowledge has been applied to analyze and argue how to carry out an effective cost control. These kinds of knowledge include cost management, engineering management and value engineering and so on. Especially, several measures have been emphasized as follows:(1) The project organization should be organized by means of OBS in accord with WBS. Namely, the responsibility, right, benefit and competence in the organization ought to be responsible to each other.(2) The reliable system of comprehensive cost data information should be set up to ensure that what is on in the project will be known about timely.(3) Building the merit system.(4) The combination of the advanced Earned Value Management and Value Engineering will be coordinately applied to deal with the cost control systematically in all the course of project process.At last, a true example has been given to show the application of these approaches.Through the analysis and argument of the cost control in the project, I hope that much more advanced knowledge of project management will be applied by enterprises in YunNan province to foundation project so as to help these enterprises develop in a sound way.
