With the ever increasing development and improvement of the socialist market economy, enterprises will become the main player in the market competition. Under the new situation of the development of western regions, western enterprises are facing ever more intense competition. The development of western region's economy has caused widespread concern among the people. Western enterprises play a decisive role in economy development, therefore, to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises in the western region and promote their sustainable development are keys for developing the economy in west regions. Nowadays, knowledge and demand are changing rapidly, following the path of technological innovation is a natural choice for enterprises to earn an invincible competition position in the market.Starting from the status quo of the west enterprises' technological innovation, comparing the differences between the east and west technological innovation capability, this come to recognize that the main difficulty west enterprises facing is shortage of the stock of knowledge employees. Then based on an analysis of the human capital investment on knowledge employees, combining the actual situation of west enterprises' innovative technology, we try to explore of human capital investment strategy on knowledge employees.However, due to limited time and ability, this thesis analyzes and discusses the present situation, causes and counter measures of humancapital investment on knowledge employees in western regions theoretically and practically with limited empirical survey.
