Farmers' Participation In Agricultural Extension Application Behavior And Its Influencing Factors

The extension and adoption of agricultural technology has played a important role in advancing the agricultural technology, heightenning the agricultural productivity, increasing of farmers' income, and so on. During these tens of years, both the central and local government pay much attention to the development of agricultural technology, and it comes on some polices and measures.in the process of it. However, we are still faced with a few problems. The main problems are that the contribution of the advancement of agricultural technology to the growth of economic is increasing slowly and the ration of application of the agricultural technology is low. The deep reason is the low ration of adoption of the agricultural technology. And the basic reason is the low degree of the farmers' participation in the process of extension of agricultural technology. However, in the condition of market economic, farmers should be the principal part during the process of extension of agricultural technology. And we should encourage the farmers to take part in this process actively.Under such a background, this paper analyzes various factors, which influence the participation of farmers by utilizing the investigation data, and advances some suggestions. The main method of this research is the combination of the theory analysis and the positive analysis, and the main mathematics model is the Cumulative Logitts Model. This paper is comprised of the following six parts:In the first part, the author briefly explains some issues, such like the background and the intention of this paper, the content of this research and so on.In the second part, this paper makes a brief review on the the literature about the extension of agricultural techonology, farmers' behavior and participation in the extension of agricultural techonology.In the third part, this paper makes a research planning, including detailed intention of this paper, constructing an analysis modle for behavior of farmers' participation, raising some hypothesis and building the theoretic Model.In the forth part, the autor utilizes the investigation data to find out the actuality of farmers' participation and the relationship between it and the factors.In the fifth part, the author adopts Cumulative Logitts Model to analyze the factors the influence the farmers' participation,In the sixth part, according to the analyses above, this paper aummarizes the research conclusions, and proposes some relevant suggestions.
