A is a medium-small wine company which lies on Yantai---the international wine city and one of the most important wine region. With the development of the wine industry into the growth period, A company has gone through these following complicated processes since the year of 1998. In the very beginning, outsourcing the production of bottled wine and awarding the sole distributors to retail the final products, A company was focused on its brand promotion. After that, going with its expansion, it started extending vertically on the industry chain to build its own factory and sales force. However, it oriented again in the face of tense competition wine field , canceled the sales network , changed the ideology and put into the OBM mode into the practice. Therefore, it utilized the advantages such as flexibility and was responsible for the"trivial"business which the leading wine companies were not willing to deal with, then specialized and refined on it. A company put the limited resources into the particular segment market and avoided the tense competition among wine brand in the wine field. As a consequence, A company fought its way depending on the OBM mode and enhanced the anti-risk ability and benefited a lot from it. The intention of this paper is seek to acknowledge the necessity and feasibility of OBM operation mode for Medium-small enterprises integration with the developing process of the typical A wine company. Besides, it also provide references for managers of A company how to operate effectively next in the end.Firstly, this paper differentiates and analyzes the relevant concepts with regard to the OBM and probes its features. On the base of reclaiming the fundamental principles and theories, it explains the stimulation and attraction for the OBM factory. Aiming at the characters of the medium-small enterprises, this paper emphasizes the opportunity and the challenge for them.This paper predicts developing orientation of domestic wine in the future and gives the correlative suggestions through the introduction the developing status and the competition map of wine field.
