A Combination Of Financial And Non-financial Corporate Performance Evaluation

Performance valuation, emolument policy and dispersive decision-making are three highly regarded parts in the manipulative system of modern enterprises, among which performance valuation is of special importance. To some extend, the system of performance valuation is one of the key factors upon which success or failure depends. It is indispensable when a corporation needs to evaluate and summarize in time the experience and lessons in operation and management to improve efficiency. Therefore, it attracts great attention in the business world as well as the community of scholars.First of all, this dissertation expounds how performance valuation comes into being and how it develops. Then some systems of performance valuation now practiced are analyzed with their respective advantages and disadvantages. Based on the theories of economics management and accounting, this dissertation studies the comprehensive performance valuation by combining the financial and non-financial factors together. While making performance valuation, sufficient consideration should be given to the different field, size and level of development of each enterprise and thus put the financial and non-financial in corresponding proportion. In the non-financial part, the performance valuation is made in terms of company-client relationship, innovation, operation, management, market, and social contribution. In the financial part, this dissertation brings forward that the performance valuation can be made with the use of main financial index and the method of fuzzy cluster analysis. In the end, examples of some automotive corporations are taken to testify the effectiveness and practical value of the financial performance valuation. Financial performance valuation, combined with non-financial performance valuation, form a comprehensive performance valuation.
