For Professional Managers Of Knowledge-based Economy Competency Evaluation Model

Under the background of the knowledge economy, the professional manager has played a more and more significant role in business administration nowadays. So how to test and assess the competency of a professional manager becomes the focus in the developing and studying of human resources.This thesis takes the professional manager as the research object. At first, it summarizes the new demands of competency for professional managers in the knowledge economy era by analyzing the knowledge economy characteristic, and constructs the evaluating index system of the professional manager competency in the new era with the core of innovation and study.Then, this thesis adopts AHP method to calculate the items' weights in the index system, and use the Gray Theory to build the competency model in condition that characteristics of the uncertainty and incompleteness of information are considered.Finally, taking a concrete example for calculating, this thesis shows the process of building the model in detail. At the same time, the powerful data dynamic linking and processing abilities of Excel are used to edit the software for analyzing the competency model. So this thesis will offer a more effective method for assessing the professional manager competency.
