Communication Project Network Planning Techniques

With the nation's re-scaling and re-distribution of the telecommunication market, the telecommunication market is seeing unheard-of opportunities, especially the mobile communications market, of which the customer scale is showing snowslide effect. For providing more and more strong network support to the growing customers, more and more network projects are emerging in recent year, at the same time, some management problems of the communications projects that are ignored by people in former stages are drawing more and more attention.Communications project is one kind of high-tech and knowledge-intensive projects. Because of the rapid of development of information technology, new technologies, new arts and crafts and new products are emerging, communications projects is pertinence and time-and-effect-concerned, so, in some early communications projects, people usually resort to Gantt Chart to control the whole schedule. However, the process of communications project is a requirement-complex, environment-changeful, high-risk, multi-factor and complicated schedule. It is very hard to achieve both the optimization of resources and the minimum of cost only by controlling the schedule. Network program technique is a modern and extensively-used method, which aims to achieve the optimization of the schedules and resources. In recent years, the method has been widely used in some industrial project management. However, it has never been used in communication projects.This dissertation has been written on the basis of the analysis of communications engineering. It presents a systemic research on the application of the network program technique in communications engineering projects.
