The flourishing economy in Chengdu has driven the prosperous real estate trade. The increasingly rising of the price has also attracted attention in the community so that the government tries to develop the real estate industry more healthy and orderly through promulgating a series of policies, which has made the competition tougher and tougher and the things more and more difficult about the Small and Medium-sized Real Estate Enterprises(SMREEs) in the real estate market.Facing the difficulties, some local SMREEs begin to exit the industry or choose to develop the real estate in small towns ever since Aug. 31s t 2004. The government would probably cancel the advance-sale system of commodity apartment in the following several years. Under such circumstances, the strategic transformation about the SMREEs in Chengdu has been on the agenda. This thesis tries to help those SMREEs carry out the strategic transformation more successfully on the basis of the theories of strategic management.This article has five chapters. The first one is introduction, it mainly illustrates the motive, purpose and content, starting with the background of SMREEs in Chengdu. In the second chapter, it explains the definition of SMREEs in this thesis and the intension of strategic transformation. In the third and the forth chapters, it describes respectively the external and internal inducements of strategic transformation about SMREEs in Chengdu. In the last chapter, it puts forward to some ways to strategic transformation.
