Based on analyzing the oil and gas supply and need and import channels of China,analyzing the investment environment of oil and gas in Russia, prospecting the outlook ofoil and gas cooperation between China and Russia, this thesis studies the transnationalbusiness strategies of Chinese petroleum corporations expanding Russian oil and gasmarketing.China, which is one of the most important petroleum producer and consumercountries in the world, has become a net crude oil import country since 1993. The demandsfor the oil supply exceed that of the quantity of production in China, and have gone upcontinuously. The single transport mode of oil in China also restricts the import channels.Russia, which enjoys rich resources of energy, has just opened up its petroleummarket to the world and attracts a lot of multinational companies. Compared to the otherworld enterprises, the three Chinese petroleum corporations have both advantages andweaknesses, facing development opportunities and serious threats, yet with bright future.The Sino-Russia cooperation stemmed from the paving pipe laying keeps upwardtrends. The signature of No. One Protocol and Long-Term Cooperation Agreementsymbols an important milestone in the history of Sino-Russia energy cooperation. Thecooperation between Russia oil company and China collective enterprises is in theascendant now.The close neighborhood between the two countries, plus economically mutualsupplement and politically strategical collaboration create the bright outlook for theSino-Russia cooperation.This paper holds that it is the strategical demands for ensuring national petroleumsupply safe to expand the Russia oil market. China petroleum corporations should base onthe national diplomatism and oil trade, take the strategies as follows: seize the oneopportunity, aim at the two key regions, resolve the three questions, and implement thefour strategies.
