Although the liberalization of FDI policies has been the mainstream trend, most countries are still carrying out FDI regulation policies. However, government regulations don't contradict with liberalization of FDI policies. Thisthesis compares the FDI regulation policies between China and India in termsof three fields, i.e. FDI entry barriers, equity control and regulations on FDIbehaviors. It then analyzes the reasons why these regulation policies are takenfrom the angles of nation and politics and level of economic development.Combined with the above analysis, the thesis proposes several suggestionsaccording to the problems of FDI policies in China, such as inequalities todomestic-funded enterprises, complexity in examining and approvingprocedures and bad quality in using FDI.
